US Military Approves Mares Abyss 22 Navy II Part #416171 for Extreme Cold Water Diving In a strenuous, unmanned evaluation performed by the U.S. Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU) the Abyss 22 Navy II surpassed the high qualifications and standards of the US Navy cold regulator testing at 190 feet FSW (58 meters) for General Service and in water temperatures below 38ºF . Upon the Abyss 22 Navy II’s approval by the NEDU, it has now been included in the AMU list (Authorized for Military Use) Approval Number 1.3.16
